Endolift® Light Scan is an advanced laser working mode used within the Endolift® procedure, enabling controlled, homogeneous laser-energy delivery within the dermis and subcutaneous tissue. The technology was designed to precisely stimulate tissues from the inside without disrupting the skin surface.
Light Scan is not a separate procedure and not a resurfacing tip—it is an emission method that increases predictability and safety of the Endolift® procedure.
Mechanism of action – analogy to non-ablative thulium laser
From the perspective of energy interaction physics, Endolift® Light Scan can be compared to a non-ablative, sub-thermal thulium-laser approach, with a key difference:
- in thulium laser, energy is delivered from the skin surface,
- in Endolift® Light Scan, energy is emitted from the inside—directly in the dermis and subcutaneous tissue using an ultra-thin optical fiber.
In both cases the goal is:
- homogeneous tissue heating,
- stimulation of neocollagenesis,
- improved skin quality and firmness without epidermal ablation.
Technology and energy emission
- wavelength: 1470 nm,
- ultra-thin, single-use optical fibers inserted subcutaneously,
- continuous or sequential emission during controlled fiber withdrawal,
- even “thermal scan” of tissues along the treatment path.
This enables precise temperature control and minimizes the risk of focal overheating.
Clinical effect
Using Light Scan enables:
- natural, gradual skin firming,
- improved density and elasticity,
- stimulation of collagen remodeling,
- full epidermal integrity preservation,
- no resurfacing effect and no peeling.

What Endolift® Light Scan is not
- it is not a thulium laser,
- it is not laser resurfacing,
- it does not cause ablation or microdamage of the epidermis,
- it does not require downtime typical for superficial procedures.
