Egzosomy (Exosomes)

Exosomes are nanometer-sized extracellular vesicles that play a key role in intercellular communication. They contain biologically active molecules such as proteins, peptides, lipids and nucleic acids that participate in regulation of regenerative processes and tissue homeostasis.

In aesthetic and regenerative medicine, exosomes are used as a biological tool supporting skin regeneration, aimed at improving skin quality and function—without a volumizing effect.

Mechanism of action

After application into tissues, exosomes:

  • initiate intercellular signaling,
  • modulate fibroblast activity and other skin cells,
  • support tissue regeneration and remodeling,
  • influence the cellular microenvironment,
  • regulate inflammatory response.

Their action is biological and signaling-based rather than mechanical.

Clinical significance

Via their signaling mechanism, exosomes may:

  • support natural skin repair processes,
  • improve structure, elasticity and quality,
  • promote recovery after aesthetic procedures,
  • be used in therapies focused on skin quality and biological regeneration.

Clinical indications

Exosome-based therapies may be considered in patients:

  • with reduced skin quality and density,
  • with signs of biological aging,
  • after intensive aesthetic procedures as part of regeneration,
  • interested in a modern biological approach to improving skin condition.

Most common areas:

  • face,
  • neck,
  • decolletage,
  • areas requiring regeneration.

Therapy profile

  • regenerative and supportive character,
  • protocol selected individually,
  • may be a standalone procedure or part of combined therapy,
  • no volumizing effect,
  • short or minimal downtime.

Medical information

Exosome-based treatments should be performed after medical qualification. The therapy supports regenerative processes and does not replace medical treatment.

Exosomes are a modern tool of regenerative medicine using biological cellular communication to improve skin quality and function.
