L-PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid) is a biodegradable, biocompatible synthetic polymer widely used in medicine, including aesthetic and regenerative medicine, as a proven biostimulant.

Mechanism of action
After injection into tissues:
- L-PLLA particles initiate a controlled biostimulatory response,
- fibroblasts are activated and type I collagen synthesis increases,
- the product biodegrades gradually into lactic acid, then metabolized to CO₂ and H₂O in the Krebs cycle.
The clinical effect is indirect and long-term, resulting from extracellular matrix remodeling rather than a direct filling effect.
